The Umbrella

The Umbrella

 It was monsoon, rainin' lightly
 People walked under umbrella
 Some black,some colourful
 The latter ones shone brightly
Just like the face of Cindrella
 The moment was wonderful

I also wanted to have one
So to the marketplace I went
Into a curve my lips were bent

 Few hours there I spent
 Searchin'. . . . . Searchin' . . . . .

 Hard to be found
 Hard to be seen anywhere
 I tried my best , I swear
I kept goin' round and round
But I didn't find any of my choice
I was about to give up

Finally on one, fell upon my eyes
Not that big, small was its size
 Perfect Indeed ! I thought
But Damn !, it had already been bought

I didn't feel like buyin' any other
 I observed the rain
 It was never that heavy
I instead tried to enjoy it
And I did, Rain was amazing
Little drops, gettin' wet a bit

And thought of comin' back again
To the marketplace
To buy an umbrella
Whenever it would rain heavily
Sometime in future , if needed

[[ P.S. The METAPHOR : The umbrella symbolises being in a relationship. Now , re-read the poem :) ]]
