The Longest Journey

  The Longest Journey

( this poem is actually a conversation between an old man and a child )

Why are you so old, so left out ?
Why are you so cold, whats it all about ?
I wonder how it would feel seeing you
  Dressed up well,wearing something new

Your innocent mind is far too behind
To discover this mystery and reason to find
Wearing good clothes are no more wishes
  When all other
dreams are shattered into pieces

You look frustated and broken from inside
You look tired as if you've taken a long ride
Won't you tell me what you've been through ?
I doubt what you gonna  speak will be all true

Well guessed that I had the longest ride ever
I've gone through something full of labour
And keep in mind that I do not lie, never
Stop asking ! Would you do me this favor ?

Don't misunderstand that  I'm trying to rile
I'm just searching reason behind that lost smile
Sorry ! But just tell me about that longest ride
Was it a voyage in a ship, in the sea full of tide ?

Yeah ! the journey was long and full of tide
Througout which there were a lot to abide
But I ran out of time and began to scream
That I had a failure to fulfill all my dream

You metaphors are curvy for me as they bend
Your whole journey, I guess I can't comprehend
But there's a chance if you could just elaborate
With something simple, your metaphors co-relate

You are too stubborn as well as a kind of eager
You aim something great, somthing more bigger
And when it doesn't turn your way, you miff
The journey I was talking all about, it's life !!
